‘The Protector’ is the latest in the ‘Everyday Angels’ collection by Hamish Blakely. This piece combines classicism with modern styles and designs.

Colour confronts us in this piece. Split across the middle with soft blue, white and a bold pink, Hamish challenges us with the traditional image of ‘The Protector’.

Delicate brushwork is used with both the playful wing textures and expertly defined tattoo work. This angel sits stern in the middle of the canvas and will not let anybody past.

These contrasts show the opposition with the ideas of classical painting and modern ideals.

‘The Protector’ is not only soft and delicate, but defiant and impassable.

We have framed this series in a black frame with a white slip. These prints are varnished and finished to the highest standards.
